The Vega Honors Their History
Pictured here is a recent photo of The Vega Developer Henry Lambert and Cindy Vega, in front of Vega construction underway. A little history: Vega Metals, producer of forged metal railings, gates, furniture, and sculpture, opened in the late 1980s by Francis Vega and Neal Carlton. Cindy Vega partnered with Neal after her husband Francis passed away, approximately 10 years ago. A butterfly bench became an iconic Vega Metals design, as well as items including a bull, to pay homage to Bull Durham Tobacco and the major league baseball pitcher played by Kevin Costner in the Bull Durham movie. Vega Metals work is found in Duke Chapel, Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke Gardens, the NC State Senate and House of Representatives, and numerous other businesses. Francis Vega and Neal Carlton also started Cricket Forge, which continues to do business today under the ownership of Jonathan Paschall. The Vega team is proud of their Vega heritage!
