The Giving Season
It’s the season of giving! Take a look at community outreach opportunities in Chapel Hill.
For Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa consider sharing a dinner with someone who might not otherwise get one. A gift of only $25 helps the InterFaith Council for Social Services (IFC) offer a family a holiday dinner of a turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, bread, and dessert. This year, with your help, the IFC will provide holiday dinners to at least 700 families. Click here for more information.
Donations of toys are needed to ensure that every child in Orange County has something to celebrate during the holidays. Help provide an opportunity for low income parents to select two to three gifts per child aged 18 or under. Volunteers are needed Saturday, December 16, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM and Sunday December 17, 12:00 PM-5:00 PM as escorts for shopping parents and day-of needs. The Toy Chest program is especially need bilingual volunteers. Learn more by clicking here.
